Where It All Started
Every organization starts with an idea. Mad Tree Foundation started with a shared belief that disc golf can do more than bring people together on the course. It can strengthen communities, create opportunities, support people in need, and make a lasting difference.
The Mad Tree Foundation Founders Club recognizes the people who believed in that vision from the beginning and helped establish the foundation for what Mad Tree is becoming.

Our Co-Founders
Deb & Shawn Carney
Mad Tree Foundation was co-founded by Deb and Shawn Carney, whose passion for disc golf, community, and giving back helped inspire the creation of the organization.
What began with a desire to bring people together through disc golf grew into something bigger: an organization capable of using the sport and its community to support local causes, create opportunities for players of all ages, and make a positive impact throughout the Inland Northwest.
Their vision helped establish Mad Tree Foundation as a place where friendship, generosity, and a love of disc golf come together for a greater purpose.
Today, that vision continues through the work of our board, volunteers, supporters, sponsors, and Founders Club members.

More Than a Name on a List
Being a founding member represents something that can never be recreated: being there at the beginning.
Our Founders Club members helped give Mad Tree Foundation the resources, encouragement, and momentum needed to begin building an organization focused on making a difference through disc golf.
As Mad Tree grows, launches new programs, supports community projects, introduces young people to the sport, and finds new ways to give back, our Founding Members will always be recognized as part of the organization’s history.
